Mindfulness for Menopause: A Holistic Approach to Ease Symptoms

Perimenopause and menopause involves more than just hot flushes and weight gain. Low mood, anxiety, brain fog and loss of confidence are common menopausal symptoms that can make even the most composed women feel overwhelmed. In these moments, self-compassion becomes crucial to avoid self-criticism.

Perimenopause and Menopause can often bring about symptoms like tension, irritability and constant worrying, which may affect your social interactions and relationships. Using mindfulness, I help you to notice and recognise these symptoms, giving you strategies and techniques to manage them effectively, enabling you to function day-to-day with reassurance and confidence in facing these challenges.

The Day Retreat is for women who are looking for an immersive, in-person nurturing day which includes mindfulness practices, guided meditations, deep relaxation and mindful movement, tension release and self-compassion. You will learn the skills and techniques to then practice on your own at home.

Day Retreat dates:

2nd March - Winchester

23rd May - Godalming

10th August - Godalming

The 6 Week Course is a live, in-person online course, run on Thursday afternoons and is designed for women who would like weekly group support to form new habits by introducing these techniques into their daily life. The 6 Week Course involves some 'homework' between the sessions, to encourage home practice on a regular basis and includes an optional half-day Silent Retreat.

The Day Retreat and 6 Week Course empowers you with techniques to attune to your body and mind, using the breath, physical awareness, deep relaxation, bringing kindness to the body and cultivating self-compassion. Whether you're new to mindfulness or have years of experience, I will guide you through key mindfulness practices, techniques and meditations to help ease common symptoms of menopause. I provide a safe space for women to connect, reflect, learn and feel empowered through mindfulness practices.

If you're on a rollercoaster of overthinking, anxiety, irritability and low moods during perimenopause and menopause, it's time for self-care and healthy habits.

I look forward to welcoming you with open arms.

In my Mindfulness for Menopause Day Retreat, Courses and Workshops, I intentionally steer away from the intricacies of HRT, alternative remedies or dietary changes, focusing instead on the transformative practices of meditation, deep relaxation and everyday mindfulness. These proven techniques will be your pillars of support, helping you through the challenges that this transitional phase of life can present.

Lisa was really good at including everyone and dealing with all the mixed personalities. Everyone had a chance to talk. I felt very safe, heard and included.

The day exceeded expectation. Learning to step back and breathe, accept the changes menopause brings and not worry about things I can’t change.

Lisa is very calm and her voice very soothing. She was able to bring people together very skillfully in a group with different needs and energies.

Lisa has a lovely calm voice with such a gentle way that made me feel really relaxed. I learnt that I need to take more time for myself at home, a bit more self-care.
