What is Mindfulness?

"Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes. Including you."

Anne Lamott

Mindfulness with Lisa Fellowes

It's like a mental reset button, helping you stay fully engaged in the present moment without any judgment. It's a way to step back, notice your thoughts, feelings and body sensations and simply be aware without getting caught up in the chaos, or judging whether something is good or bad. It just is. Whether through meditation, deep breaths, or just taking a moment to really see what's happening around you, it's an effective tool for finding clarity and calm.

Just ten minutes a day of mindfulness meditation can re-boot your brain to help you become more focused, calm, energised and healthy. Mindfulness teaches you to pause before making big decisions, help find a creative solution, deal calmly with difficult situations or manage challenging family behaviour with clarity.

'We humans have lost the wisdom of genuinely resting and relaxing. We worry too much. We don’t allow our bodies to heal, and we don’t allow our minds and hearts to heal.''
Thich Nhat Hanh
