Everyone is searching for happiness. Most of us just haven't noticed that the searching itself might be the problem. If you recognise the anxiety, the stress, the overthinking, the inner critic that rarely goes quiet, or that persistent sense that something is still missing despite everything you've tried, you'll find yourself in very good company here.

What I've noticed

My husband Marcus Fellowes is the founder of stoprestarting.com, a methodology that looks at the pattern underneath the searching and the pressure to fix ourselves.

Living and working alongside Marcus, what's become clear is that we're both addressing the same thing from different angles. My energy healing work clears what's been stuck in the body and the system. Marcus's approach looks at the pattern underneath the searching, the moment where a neutral sensation becomes personal and the mind turns it into a problem that needs solving.

When both happen together, something quite powerful shifts. Sofa Chats are where we bring those two perspectives into one conversation, informally and without any agenda.

What happens in a Sofa Chat?

Someone brings something real and we look at it together. That's it. No structure, no techniques, no homework to take away. Just a conversation that goes somewhere most conversations don't.

There's no pressure to speak. You're welcome to keep your camera and microphone off and simply listen. If you'd prefer to submit a question in advance, just email us and we'll make sure it gets addressed.

Why people come

People come for all sorts of reasons. Some are curious after reading the site. Some have been doing therapy or personal development for years and feel like something is still missing. Some just want to sit with like-minded people and have an honest conversation about what's actually going on.

What they tend to find is that the question they arrived with looks a little different by the time they leave. Sometimes that's enough. Sometimes it's the beginning of something.

How this fits with energy work

The energy work clears the path. Marcus's approach helps you understand what's been creating the pressure in the first place, so you stop recreating the same patterns. Together they address the same thing from both directions.

A safe space
We want this to be a low-pressure space. If you’re feeling nervous or overwhelmed, you are more than welcome to keep your camera and microphone off and simply listen. You can also email us a question in advance if you’d like us to address something specific without the pressure of speaking up.

About Marcus and Stop Restarting

Marcus has been exploring this work for over 20 years. While his journey began in the world of non-duality, he has since moved toward a much more grounded, practical approach. Throughout his career, he has worked with high-achievers, sportspeople and performers, helping them find steadiness under immense pressure.

Marcus works with people who think a lot - those who appear very capable on the outside but feel restless or "not enough" on the inside. He helps you see the pattern itself in real time, so the constant battle with yourself can finally drop away.

FAQs for Sofa Chats Here are some of the questions we regularly get asked; Q: Do I need to have had an energy healing session with you to attend? A: Not at all. While many people find that the Sofa Chats beautifully complement the energy work we do, they are open to everyone. Whether you are a long-term client, a friend of a client or someone who has just stumbled across our work, you are very welcome to join the conversation. Q: Is a Sofa Chat the same as group therapy? A: No, it is quite different. We do not look at your past or try to "diagnose" what is wrong. Instead, we look at the mechanics of how our experience of life is created in the moment. It is more of an exploration of how the mind works rather than a therapy session. Q: I am quite shy - will I be expected to speak? A: There is absolutely no pressure to speak. We understand that for many, the "inner critic" or over-thinking can make joining a live Zoom call feel a bit daunting. You are more than welcome to keep your camera and microphone off and just listen. If you have a specific question but do not want to speak up, you can email it to us before the session hello@lisafellowes.com and we will address it anonymously. Q: Why do you record the sessions? A: We record the sessions so that you can revisit the insights at your own pace. Many people find that they hear something different the second time around when the "mental noise" has settled. It also means that if you buy a ticket but can’t make the live time, you won’t miss out. The recorded sessions will only be sent to those that purchased a ticket for that event. Q: What if I want to discuss something very private? A: The Sofa Chats are a shared space, so while you are welcome to share personal circumstances, we always keep the conversation focused on the universal patterns underneath. If you feel you need a more private, deep-dive into your specific situation, you might find that a one-to-one session with Marcus is a better fit. Q: Can my partner join me on one ticket? A: Yes. We have priced the sessions at £15 per "connection." If you and your partner want to sit together on your sofa and join from one screen, you only need to purchase one ticket. Q: How often should I attend? A: There is no right or wrong way to do this. Some people come once, see something that changes their perspective, and they are done. Others enjoy the fortnightly "check-in" as a way to stay connected to that sense of ease and stop themselves from getting caught in old loops. You can book session by session as and when you feel the need. Q: What do I need to bring? A: Just yourself and a cuppa, if you like. There are no notebooks required, no homework and no techniques to learn. We find that the best insights come when you simply show up and see what lands.
